TIA is delighted to collaborate with Ryanair, who will serve a total of seventeen routes to and from Albania this Winter, connecting us with prominent tourism markets including Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Sweden, and the UK. This development not only enhances connectivity and tourism growth in our region but also generates job opportunities and makes travel more affordable and convenient for our fellow Albanian citizens and visitors alike.
Some of the exciting highlights of our partnership with Ryanair include:
· 17 New Routes: We are thrilled to introduce new routes that connect Tirana with major European cities such as Brussels, Dusseldorf, London, Milan, Paris, and Rome.
· Affordable Fares: Ryanair offers fares starting from just €15 one way, ensuring that travel remains accessible for all.
· 1.6 Million Passengers Annually: We anticipate welcoming over 1.6 million passengers in the first year of operation, showcasing the growing demand for air travel in Albania.
· Supporting Local Jobs: This partnership sustains over 1,000 local jobs, further contributing to the economic development of Albania.
Mauro Bolla, a representative of Ryanair, expressed the airline's enthusiasm for the venture, stating, "Ryanair is delighted to welcome our first passengers here to Tirana as Albania officially becomes the 37th country in Ryanair's network. We have big plans for Albania and look forward to welcoming even more passengers onboard flights to/from Tirana."
In continuation of this momentous occasion, Tirana International Airport (TIA) is pleased to announce a series of substantial investments in the expansion of the airport, poised to transform Tirana International Airport into a hub of growth and opportunity. These investments are driven by the remarkable potential for expansion that Ryanair's presence promises in Albania and aligns seamlessly with Ryanair's vision to establish a dedicated base in Tirana. It symbolizes a significant milestone in the promising trajectory of aviation in Albania, ushering in new horizons for travelers, businesses, and our local community. These investments come in response to the request from Ryanair, emphasizing our commitment to facilitating their vision of establishing a base in Tirana. We have currently started the expropriation process, a critical step initiated to accommodate Ryanair's expansion plans. This commitment underscores our dedication to realizing the full potential of aviation in Albania.
