Tirana International Airport (TIA) today welcomed the inaugural flight of TAROM, marking the beginning of a new partnership and the airline’s first operations at Tirana International Airport.

The new service will operate once a week, every Wednesday throughout the summer season, strengthening air connectivity between Albania and Romania and creating new opportunities for travel, tourism, and economic cooperation between the two countries.

The arrival of TAROM at TIA represents an important step in expanding the airport’s network of airline partners and increasing access to the Romanian market. The new route is expected to contribute to growing visitor numbers to Albania, supporting the development of the tourism sector and further promoting the country as an increasingly attractive destination for international travellers.

To celebrate this milestone, a symbolic welcome ceremony was held at the airport for the crew and passengers of the inaugural flight.
