Tirana International Airport and easyJet Celebrate the Inaugural Lisbon–Tirana Route
24 June 2025 | Tirana, Albania – Tirana International Airport (TIA), in collaboration with easyJet, proudly marked the official launch of the new direct route between Tirana and Lisbon during a special event held at the airport this morning. The inaugural flight from Portugal’s capital landed at TIA to a warm welcome, symbolizing a new chapter in air connectivity between Albania and Western Europe.
The ceremony was attended by representatives from easyJet, and TIA’s executive team.
This strategic route reinforces Albania’s growing visibility on the European travel map and strengthens ties with Portugal, opening new opportunities for leisure and business travel in both directions.
Piervittorio Farabbi, Chief Operating Officer of Tirana International Airport, emphasized the broader vision behind this new connection:
“The addition of Lisbon to our network reflects our shared commitment with easyJet to offer passengers greater choice, better connectivity, and new gateways to explore. This connection not only enhances travel convenience, but also strengthens Albania’s position as one of Europe’s emerging destinations.
