- Mr Rolf Castro-Vasquez will take over as the new CEO of TIA
- Administrative Council of TIA expresses confidence in continued success of the company
With effect from 19 June 2013, Mr Rolf Castro-Vasquez will take over as the new Chief Executive Officer of Tirana International Airport shpk (TIA). He succeeds Mrs Andrea Gebbeken, who completes her contract with the company. TIA’s new management team will be composed of Mr Rolf Castro-Vasquez as CEO and Mrs Suela Keri as Chief Financial Officer. The two Executives are current members of TIA's management team and will take over additional responsibilities in the company.

Passenger growth over this time has been excellent and facilities are state-of-the-art while maintaining the highest standards of operations has always been a key success factor. Thanks to the good cooperation among the Executives in the past, we are confident that Mr Castro-Vasquez and Mrs Keri will take over smoothly and continue the constant successes achieved by the airport company," said Mr Holger Linkweiler, the Chairman of the Administrative Council of TIA.
Mr Castro-Vasquez has worked at TIA as Chief Operations Officer for the past seven-and-a-half years. He will now take over responsibility for the company's overall development and strategy. Mr Castro-Vasquez spent 30 years of his professional career in the air traffic industry, in various positions and different companies. Mrs Keri, has worked for TIA for the last six years and brings with her broad professional experience in financing, accounting and auditing.
Mrs Gebbeken has dedicated her valuable work to TIA during the past six years and will now return to Germany to take on a new position at HOCHTIEF Aktiengesellschaft. The Administrative Council of TIA extends its special gratitude to Mrs Gebbeken for her engagement, passion and leadership.
