Volotea adds Tirana to its network with the launch of the first route from Verona
Flights will start on 17 December 2015
On 17 December 2015, Tirana International Airport (TIA) will inaugurate a new route between Tirana and Verona operated by Volotea. The carrier will operate the route twice weekly with a Boeing 717.
“We are excited to welcome Volotea as our newest airline partner and I am confident they will receive a very warm welcome from the passengers of Tirana International Airport. This new route will provide the opportunity for further development of business possibilities between our two cities and pleasant getaways for tourists as well: a great combination!” said Mr Rolf Castro-Vasquez, Chief Executive Officer of TIA.
Edo Friart, International Development Manager of Volotea, expressed his satisfaction with the launch of the new route from Tirana: “We are delighted to add Albania as our 10th country served and this city among our network based in Italy. Seeing the potential of Tirana, it was logical to start with this route from our new base of Verona. We look forward to considering other potential routes from Tirana in the years to come.”
Volotea, a European airline specialised in serving small and medium-sized cities, offers direct flights at attractive fares.
